Nice to meet you!

I´m a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer category B1.1.

Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by aircrafts and aviation.

This e-book didn’t start as a project, but as an answer to questions I was always asked:

-“What do you do?”
-“Could I do that too?”

I’ve gathered real insights from the field, combined them with technical and regulatory knowledge, and created this compact guide for aspiring AMEs.

My journey

Since a young age, I have been curious and highly motivated to work with aircraft. This fascination led me to complete secondary school through a three-year professional course in Aircraft Maintenance Technology in Portugal.

During my studies, I gained practical experience through annual internships, which gave me my first contact with real maintenance environments. After graduation, I secured an extended internship in the field of military aircraft components, where I developed my technical foundation and attention to detail.

Later, I transitioned into the commercial aviation sector, working at an international airport where I performed both line and base maintenance on regional aircraft. These years allowed me to broaden my technical knowledge, strengthen teamwork skills, and continue studying towards the completion of my EASA Part-66 B1.1 license.

Seeking to expand my horizons further, I took on opportunities abroad. I worked as a line maintenance engineer in Northern Europe for several years, embraceing new professional and personal challenges.
